Watersiders meet
Lyttelton watersiders attended a special stop-work meeting yesterday from 7 a.m. to 8.30 a.m., with the approval of the Port Employers’ Association, to hear candidates for positions on the executive of the Waterside Workers’ Federation. The Lyttelton secretary (Mr M. E. Foster) is a candidate for assistant general secretary, and the federation’s national president (Mr R. K. Fergus) is seeking re-election.
