School project contest
A schools’ project competition, which has attracted more than 300 entries from 35 primary and intermediate schools in Christchurch, will be held at Phillipstown School tomorrow and on Saturday. The competition was organised by two teachers at the school, Mrs E. Turvey and Miss P. Randle. Proceeds will go to the Marylands home. No restrictions were put on the topic, form, or size of the projects for the competition which has sections for individual, group, and class projects. The exhibits will be judged by a pane! of judges and certificates will be awarded as prizes. The entrance fee to the exhibition is in the form of buying a programme.
