Invalid bed A special pump-up hydraulic invalid bed which has been made by the engineers of the National Airways Corporation, will be presented to the vice-president of the Canterbury branch of the Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Society (Mr M. W. Burberry) this morning. The complex piece of equipment will be used by the society to handle special-care, mul-tiple-handicapped patients. Noise control Member councils will be asked by the Christchurch Regional Planning Authority to support a joint investigation into noise control. This action was approved at a meeting of the authority yesterday, when the chairman (Mr X). B. Rich) said there was growing concern about noise problems.
