Escapade in 4th place

The New Zealand boat, Escapade, took fourth place in the third trial race of the OneTon Cup yachting series off Sydney Heads yesterday. Three seconds separated Escapade, sailed by S. Fischer, from the third placegetter, Stormy Petrel, the cup holder. Pilgrim, skippered by G. Evans, brilliantly won the race by Imin 19sec from the Victorian boat, Mark Twain (R. Langman). Thirty seconds separated Mark Twain and Stormy Petrel. The series will decide Aus- i tralia’s three representatives' for the world championships ( in Sydney from December 9 to 20. Stormy Petrel and Pilgrim are assured of selection, and the third representative will be either Mark Twain or Escapade.
