measure. Wm D. Pearson.—Canada has a bicameral legislature consisting of an appointive Senate and an elective House of Commons. Members of the Senate appointed before June 2, 1965, may hold office for life; subsequent appointees retire at 75. The error in naming Mr Stanfield is regretted.
