Deficiency of $1471 shown
James Barry Thomas, aged 25, unemployed, of Griffiths Avenue, told a meeting of creditors yesterday that living beyond his means during the last four years and a half had caused his bankruntcy He said he had 28 unsecured creditors to whom he owed $l5Bl. His assets amounted to $llO. Mr Thomas said he was at present receiving unemployment benefit of $40.50 a week on which he was keeping three dependent children. The Deputy Official Assignee (Mr L. Anderson) told him to take a firm hold of his finances and distinguish between necessary and unnecessary expenditure. The meeting was adjourned sine die for lack of a quorum.
