The University of Canterbury Council will decide next month which member of the university staff will take the position on the Christchurch Girls’ High School Board left I vacant by the resignation of j Professor A. A. Conway. I The Chancellor of the j university (Mr T. H. MeICombs) told the council yes I terday that several offers ha ’been made by academic st Ito fill the vacancy on t iboard. It was customary, however, to allow one month fore filling such a vacancy. The council accepted Pro 4 fessor Conway’s resignation without further comment <
