New Democrat candidates

TIMARU, Oct. 29.
Candidates for the General Election were named as follows after a meeting of the area executive of the New Democrat Party in Timaru today.
Timaru: Mr D. W. Armstrong, aged 39, a motorcamp caretaker. He is married, with six children.
South Canterbury: Mr M. J. Haves, aged 54, a farmerslaughterman, of Temuka. He first stood as an independent candidate in the Waitaki electorate in 1949, since when he has stood for Social Credit. Oamaru: Mr H. E. Mitchell, aged 29, a civil engineer, of Temuka. He is married, with one child.
