More gifts for Marylands
More than $lOOO for Marylands has come in gifts in the last six days. On Saturday, $156 was given by a Christchurch firm of solicitors—the sixth gift of more than $lOO to be received.
So far, 36 persons and groups have sent in money since the open-ended appeal was first made in “The Press.”
Mr J. B. Lagan, chairman of the Marylands Auxiliary, said that he hoped a decision would be forthcoming today from the Government about a subsidy.
