Quiet truck
A large truck with a 200 b.h.p. diesel engine is four times as quiet as the average domestic motor-mower, the Perkins Engine Group, of Britain, has claimed after a programme of research into noise and pollution. The same truck is only half as noisy as most kitchen food-mixers, the company says.
