Dashing trial by Longfella
YJV.Z.P.A. Staff Correspondent) SYDNEY, Longfella came through his semi-final trial for Saturday's ‘550,000 A.J.C. Derby in dashing I style at Randwick on Tuesday Longfella covered 1600 metres •in Imin 42sec, beating a race rival, The Fixer, by a length and a half. The Fixer, however, missed the start of the gallop and Longfella went away to a four lengths lead early. The feature of Longfella** work was the way he covered the last 600 metres—in 37sec, the fastest time of the morning.
