Nastase (Rumania) maintained a comfortable lead in [the $375,000 Commercial : Union grand prix tennis tourlnament after last week’s play, according to figures released by tournament officials. Nastase, seeking the $50,000 first prize in the men’s competition, has 543 points—l2l more than S. R. Smith, who is second. M. Orantes (Spain) is third with 416 points. Mrs B. King maintained a comfortable lead in the women’s division with 669 points. Miss E. Goolagong. of Australia, is second with 400. and Mrs N. Gunter is third with 304.
