Protest against Vietnam war

Church members from a wide variety of denominations are helping to plan tomorrow’s demonstration in Christchurch against the war in Vietnam.

“Eight thousand copies of a leaflet, ‘Only Peace Can Save This People’ have been distributed to congregations, both Roman Catholic and Protestant,” said Mrs M. Morrison, speaking for the Christians Against the War group in Christchurch. Roman Catholic and Protestant leaders will conduct a united service of prayer and intercession at the Trinity Pacific Church at 6.45 p.m. Christians are invited to march under the Christian banner. The march will leave Latimer Square at 7.30 p.m.
