Sussex battled hard in defence of its meagre 85-run total, and Yorkshire won with only four overs to spare. Tne England opener, G. Boycott, took 145 minutes to score 24. A. Greig, the South Afri-can-born England test allrounder, was the most effective Sussex bowler, with three wickets for 15 runs. The “man of the match” award however, went to the Yorkshire left-arm spinner, D. Wilson, who claimed three wickets for 18 runs. Leicestershire will play Warwickshire in the other semi-final.
