Boxer’s pay withheld
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyrignt) . LONDON. The British Boxing Board of Control has withheld the purse of the American fighter, Leroy Caldwell, after his bout this week with Joe Bugner. Caldwell was brought to Britain from New Orleans to test Bugner, the former British, European, and Commonwealth heavy-weight champion, in a come-back fight at the Royal Albert Hall. However, Caldwell was disqualified for “not giving of his best.”
