RISHON IS INJURED

“The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND.

As the result of an injury in training the good two-year-old, Rishon, will hot race for a long while and whether he is saved at all is in doubt.

Rishon wrenched a joint, causing serious damage to the sesamoid bones, when galloping at Takanini last week. The injured leg was put in plaster but swelling has compelled the removal of the cast and the horse continues to be in a good deal of pain.

A chestnut colt by Golden Plume from Fontamara, Rishon finished a close second to Longfella in the Ellerslie Sires’ Produce Stakes earlier this month at his last attempt. He is trained by C. M. Jillings for Mr W. Deutsch, . who also bred the horse.
