Godfrey ties lead on 66
(N.Z.P.A.-a.euter—Copyright) HONG KONG. The New Zealander, W. J. Godfrey, and W. Dunk (Australia) had four-under-par 66s and share the lead after the first round of the Hong Kong open golf championship. Bunched together at 67 were M. Kono and H. Sugimoto (Japan), G. Marsh (Australia) and J. Benda (United States). Godfrey started cautiously > but had birdies on the tenth I and twelfth, and an eagle on the 530-yard fourteenth.
