Triton gets bad draw
(N.Z Press Association) SYDNEY Gunsynd, the 5/4 favourite and top-weight for the Doncaster at Randwick this week-end conitinued his luck in the barrier draws by gaining No. 7 spot. The New Zealand horse, Jan’s Beau, drew barrier one for the Doncaster. The trainer, T. Smith, said he could not see Gunsynd beaten, whatever the draw, in the Doncaster. Triton, 3/1, drew 19 in the Doncaster. His trainer. S. Brown, had hoped for somewhere between three and 12. Before the draw, Brown expressed the opinion that Triton would be in the first six all the way, but added: “You have to have luck in the running.”
