BLANKETS ORDER
(N.Z. Press . Association) AUCKLAND, March 29. Recent emphasis on overseas marketing has brought Kaiapoi Group Textiles, Ltd, an order for ‘5OO all-wool blankets for Grantham Hospital, Hong Kong. Announcing the order today, a spokesman for the company said it was particularly gratifying because of intense competition from Hong Kong manufacturers with cheap labour and resources. The blankets are of a special light-weight type suitable for hospitals and will be delivered next monjh from Kaiapoi’s Christchurch mill.
League’s plans.—Mr J. B. O’Brien, leader of the Social Credit League, will meet the Prime Minister (Mr Marshall) today to put forward the league's proposals on stabilisation.
