Court-martial acquittal
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Mar. 29. An Army officer today was found not guilty on charges of negligence resulting from the crash of a Sioux helicopter at Waiouru last November. An Air Force court-martial found that Temporary Major Michael Mcßobie Jameson, aged 33, had no case to answer.
Major Jameson had pleaded not guilty to damaging negli- ■ gently an R.N.Z.A.F. Sioux . helicopter by causing it to hit . a building. He had also , pleaded not guilty to flying ■ the helicopter against a buildi Ing in a manner likely to . cause bodily injury to Lead- , ing Aircraftsman N. J. Blackford.
