OPTION FOR STAFF

The Public Service Association had obtained a legal opinion that non-nursing staff in psychiatric hospitals could not be compelled to join trade unions but could remain with the P.S.A. if they wished to, the acting general secretary of the P.S.A. (Mr A. J. White) said in Wellington yesterday.
