Compensation raised
(N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 23. An increase of $6 in the maximum weekly rate of workers’ compensation payments was announced today by the Minister of Labour (Mr Thomson). The increase to $3B kept the rate of compensation related to the present wage level, said Mr Thomson. It would take effect on March 30. The new rate will mean a 5 per cent increase in maximum employers’ liability premium rates, from April 1.
