Rich Return at peak
“The Press” Special Service HAWERA. The Hawera mare, Rich Return, indicated she is at her best for the Stars Travel Invitation Stakes at Tauranga by easily beating the speedy mare, New Moon, in ah exhibition gallop between races at the Opunake meeting at Hawera yesterday. The .pair went six furlongs. New Moon, on the inside, led early but round the home turn Rieh Return worked ahead. She ran to the line under a firm hold and finished all of three lengths In front of New Moon. Rich Return was privately timed to run the six furlongs in Imin 13sec.
