The first issue of the Christchurch City Council’s $2. Im loan for the building of the Commonwealth Games complex in Queen Elizabeth Il Park will go on the mar. ket on May 15. The Local Authorities Loans Board yesterday sane, tioned the raising of a loan, said the City Treasurer (Mr L. A. G. Rich). The loan was likely to be raised in five issues between May and Sep. tember 30, 1973, the date for the completion of the Games stadium.
Mr Rich said that the loan was to be underwritten by, Hamilton, Hindin, Green and Company, the firm that nor. tnally arranged the under, writing of the City Council loans.
“We are confident that this is the sort of purpose which will attract more generous support from investors than has been forthcoming in recent local authority loans,” Mr Rich said.
