Truck off road
A five ton four-wheel drive truck with a pole digging attachment mounted on the rear was extensively damaged when it ran off the road in the Weka Pass about 5 p.m. on Tuesday. The North Canterbury Electric Power Board vehicle ran down a steep 25ft bank. The driver, Mr K. Ching, of Rangiora, escaped with only severe bruising.
