Machines moved
The two contraceptive vending machines which caused controversy when they were installed at the University of Canterbury Student Union last year are now in use, with the approval of the University of Canterbury Council. The machines have been erected near the Student Health Service rooms in the Student Union buildings at the city site and at Ham. This step has been taken because of moves to have the machines removed from their original positions in the men’s lavatories. The two machines are owned and run by the Student Union management committee which has representatives on it of the students and the university administration.
