Sharp profit fall
Courtauld Hilton, Ltd; has cut its dividend from 10 per cent to 5 per cent, which is still only about half covered by the latest earnings. This is the second successive cut in dividend, after some dismal returns by the group in recent years. The latest profit fell from $1,097,000 to $405,000—a slump of about 63 per cent—earned at the rate of 2.7 per cent on capital.
