Scales keeps promise

WELLINGTON, Mar. 8. Scales Holdings, Ltd, the - Wellington holding company ' making a take-over offer for Geo. H. Scales, Ltd, had been formed as part of the internal rearrangement promised to shareholders in the light of last year’s first-come, first- . served offer by Brierley In- ■ vestments, Ltd, a company, spokesman said today. • The holding company has a nominal capital of $448,700 —the same as Geo. H. Scales. The only difference be-, tween the boards of the two companies is the inclusion of Mr A J. Hubbard on the ; board of Scales Holdings. Each director holds one 100 c; share. Geo. H. Scales notice of a take-over from* Scales Holdings last week.and the directors supported it. : -‘ The formal documents would be posted to shareholders within three weeks. Shareholders were advised not to sell in the meantime.
