Fare change
The Christchurch Transport! Board decided at its meeting! on Monday that the fare charged on buses serving Templeton Speedway would be 30c single or 50c return. The board’s staff had experienced difficulty with illdisciplined young people claiming they were under 15 years of age when they were not, the report said.
Mr J. Mathison and Mr S. E. Boanas said there had been complaints about the rerouting of the Lyttelton bus service from Ferry Road through Opawa and Heathcote.
The chairman (Mr R. Jones) said that by the next meeting the committee would have enough information to be able to make some suggestions. The new service had been running only a week.
