Unexpected find
(N.Z. Press Association)
NEW PLYMOUTH, Jan. 9. A fatal accident two miles north of Okato today resulted in an unexpected find for the police.
While inspecting the site of the crash, the police found a safe partly embedded in soil about five yards from a river, among trees. A small wooden box and some coin containers were also found. The back had been removed from the safe.
No owner has yet been traced, and it is not known how long the safe had been there.
