PTY recommends Winstone bid
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 1. The directors of PTY Industries, Ltd, have unanimously recommended acceptance of the take-over bid by Winstone, Ltd. They said this was subject to no better offers being received, but they had no indication of any counter bids. The bid was five Winstone shares for every two PTY, plus 70c a share cash. U.P.P. bid succeeds The offer of United Publishing and Printing Company, Ltd, for the shares of Wanganui Herald Newspaper Company, Ltd, has been declared unconditional. At 900 c a share, U.P.P.’s total offer was $450,000 for the 50,000, 200 c shares.
