Rise noted in dysentery cases
Five cases of bacillary dysentery in two Christchurch families were among the 11 cases of notifiable diseases reported to the Department of Health last week. The medical officer of Health (Dr L. F. Jepson) said that there had been several cases of dysentery during recent weeks, all of which involved family groups. There were also four cases of infective hepatitis and two of pulmonary tuberculosis.
