Tap dancing competitions

The Christchurch Tap Dancing Association’s competitions were held last Friday and Saturday in the Christchurch South Intermediate School hall. The judge was Mrs L. Stewart. Awards were:—

Donna Rees Challenge Cup (most points gained by under six-year-old in song and tap).— Michelle Warman. Bruce Tatnell Cup (for novice under six years).—Tracey Smith and Michelle Warman. Results were:—

Novice tap solo.—Under eight years: Karen Hooker 1 and Glenn Milner Cup, Susan Clegg 2, Debra BurreU 3. Eight to 10 years: Susan Scott 1 and Liane Duncan Cup, Karen Cooper 2, Lynn Stiles 3. Song and tap solo.—Under eight years: Donna Rees 1 and A. and J. Duncan Cup. Debbie Hall 2, Megan Kelly 3. Novice tap solo.—Ten years and under 12 years: Rosemary Webb 1 and Maree Egan Cup, Uomt Beaumont 2, P. Egan 3. Tap duo.—Open: Edith Brussovs and P. Fitzgerald 1 and Bettina Bradley Cup, Marianne Jemmett and G. Milner 2, Faye Dando and Maree Leen 3.
