Confidence in S.I.P.A. team
(New Zealand Press Association) BLENHEIM, November 29. Confidence in the ability of the South Island Promotion Association’s “amateurs” to succeed in “selling” the South Island in Sydney was expressed in Blenheim this morning by the Marlborough public relations officer (Mr A. Beverley).

New Zealanders in the tour-
“I hate to think where Marlborough would be if the Public Relations Association sat back and waited for the alleged professionals to publicise our attractions, and the same applies to the South Island,” Mr Beverley said.
As one who had been on a successful S.I.P.A. mission, he was sure the Australian one would meet with success. He had no objection to being called an enthusiastic amateur after 17 years in tourist promotions.

Any South Island mission i would comprise men and women actively engaged inj catering for the tourist. “TO| call them amateurs is simply I a dismal admission of ignorance,” Mr Beverley said. "Of course they don’t want an S.I.P.A. team to upset the ordered state of affaire whereby tourists are immediately directed to Rotorua and Auckland and the Tourist , Hotel Corporation’s hotels,” _ he said.
