Singles title to Tiriac

CASABLANCA. I. Tiriac, of Rumania, and Miss W. Gilchrist, of Australia, won >the singles titles in the Moroccan international tennis championships. Tiriac beat F. Jauffret, of France, 7-6, 6-0, 6-3, in the men’s final, ana Miss Gilchrist beat Miss M. Gurdal, of Belgium, 6-3, 7-5. in the women’s final.
In spite of protests by Jauffret. the men’s match was transferred to an indoor court after it was interrupted by a rainstorm at the end of the first set.
