British to get coach
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) MANCHESTER.
The British Rugby League, which was strongly criticised for sending the Great Britain team into the recent test series against New Zealand without a coach, has decided to engage one.
The secretary, Mr W. Fallowfield, said after a meeting of the league’s international committee: “The committee has authorised the employment of a professional coach. They have also given authority for the selection committee to arrange trial matches for the Great Britain team against club sides before their next international, against France in Toulouse on February 6.”
