Trudeau to see Nixon
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) OTTAWA. Nov. 29. The Canadian Prime Minister (Mr Pierre Trudeau) and President Nixon plan to meet in Washington within the next month.
A spokesman for the Prime Minister said today that Mr Trudeau had taken the initiative in arranging the meeting. He added that international and bilateral issues would be discussed, with the emphasis on questions relating specifically to relations between the two countries. These relations have been tense since August when Mr Nixon announced new economic measures, including a 10 per cent surtax on imports to boost the United States economy.
