KIDNAPPING IN MEXICO
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) MEXICO CITY, Nov. 29.
Nine Mexican political prisoners, including a woman were flown to Cuba in a military aircraft today as the second part of a ransom deal to obtain the release of the kidnapped rector of the University of Guerrero. Another ransom demand was met yesterday, when 2.5 million pesos ($178,500) was paid to an unidentified man linked to the kidnappers of Mr Jamie Castrejon Diez, who was seized 10 days ago while driving between the Guerrero state capital of Chilpancingo and the Pacific resort of Acapulco. The kidnappers are believed to be a group of Leftist guerrillas who have been active in the Guerrero Mountains for three years and are headed by a former teacher, Jenaro Razquez Rojas, aged 38.
A communique delivered to the press on Friday said that Mr Castrejon would be executed if the ransom demands were not met.
