While electors on Saturday were voting for Mr N. G. Pickering to become Mayor of New Zealand’s biggest city (in size), electors in Waharoa, near Matamata, were voting for a younger brother, Mr W. D. Pickering, a first-time candidate for a local body. He topped the poll for the Waharoa Town Board.
