Buildings for university
The Minister of Education (Mr Taiboys) yesterday announced Government approval for the calling of tenders for a new building to house the University of Canterbury’s Music Department at Ilam. The block will have an area of 8650 square feet and will be built on two levels* Government approval has also been given for the calling of tenders for two arts faculty lecture theatre blocks that will provide 1160 lecture places in nine lecture theatres at a total cost of slm. The combined area of these two blocks will be 23,750 square feet.
