Scholarship to seminary

A Crusade Scholarship has been awarded to the superintendent of the North Canterbury Methodist Synod (the Rev. W. A. Chambers) to undertake a course of study at a Los Angeles Theological Seminary. The scholarships are awarded to Methodist ministers and laymen from all parts of the world by the United'Methodist Church in America. Mr Chambers will leave for Los Angeles on Saturday to study pastoral counselling at the Claremont School of Theology under Professor H. Clinbell. Mr Chambers said that he was due for a three-month service leave and he wanted to use it to the best advantage towards his remaining years in the ministry.
