MISSIONARY POST
The Rev. J. G. Meadowcroft was recommissioned by the Bishop of Christchurch (the Rt Rev. W. A. Pyatt) to his position as lecturer at the Gujranwala Seminary in West Pakistan at the annual meeting of the Canterbury Branch of the Anglican Church Missionary Society on Monday evening. Mr Meadowcroft has been working for the society in West Pakistan since 1957, and will return for a four year term on September 13. The seminary trains clergy for all the major denominations in Pakistan. The meeting also welcomed home on furlough, Miss F. E. Smith, from work in the new housing areas in Singapore.
