Cream sales steady
The national milk publicity campaign aimed at persuading people to use more cream had made no significant difference to sales of cream, the president of the Canterbury Milk Vendors’ Association (Mr P. A Caithness) said yesterday. “It’s hard to .tell whether there has been an increase in the demand for cream because of the national advertising campaign. The drop in price of cream from 20c to 16c a half-pint last week seems to have made no noticeable increase in demand, either,” Mr Caithness said.
Last week-end Dunedin milkmen ran out of cream because of the increased demand'brought about by the reduction in , price and Father’s Day. 1
