Chief Justice’s carpets stolen
(N Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) Z LONDON, Sept 2. * A pair of thieves yesterday made off with carpets meant for the chambers of Britain’s Chief Justice. Lord Widgery. The, thieves strolled casually into the High Court, walked up to the second floor where the carpets, worth £2OO were rolled and stacked in a comer. They picked them up, brought them downstairs, put them in a blue van and drove off. The carpets were to have been laid in Lord Widgery’s chambers later in the day. I
