Addington GOOD ADMIRAL (Race 1), b g 4yrs, by Goodland— Bonny Rachael, trained at Methven by C. V. and T. M. May. Top three-year-old of last season. Looked to be jogging when he won at the KurOw meeting on August 14. Will find this much harder, but should still win as he looks to be one of the most promising trotters in the slower classes. Wingatui BELPHEGOR (Race 4), b g syrs by Bellborough—Keppoch. Trained by W. Grant, Washdyke. Finished second in strong company behind Gunmetal at Riccarton last month and confirmed that form by easily winning over nine furlongs at Gore last week. The field tomorrow is not as strong. Avondale BIG VALLEY (Race •), b h 4yrs by Better Honey—French Ornament, trained by B. Meyer, Avondale. Has been placed at three of his last four starts. Won last time out on July 21 over tomorrow’s distance. Only thing against him is a wide draw, but he should overcome this. Wanganui CROWN LAW (Race 7), b h syrs by Byl and—Royal Serena, trained by S Brown, Woodville, looks unbeatable after his easy win in the sprint at Foxton last week
