Export to Trinidad
CFrom Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, Sept. 2. New Zealand Insulators, Ltd, of Temuka, have won a tender from Trinidad for 12 33kv single core cable sealing ends. The items have been sold to the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission. The firm’s general manager (Mr R. D. Guthrie) today expressed satisfaction at the export—especially as the tenders were called throughout the world. “As a result of some considerable effort, we are developing a fairly steady export business but as yet the over-all volume is not large,” said Mr Guthrie. The firm has regular sales to the China Light and Power Company, Hong Kong, and it sells to Western Samoa and Tonga.
