Sir, —Some days ago a correspondent wrote about these trees being shut up in the N.A.C. building. I was furi-

ous to see several on sale outside a chain store. These lovely native trees! Their place is in the bush. Leave them there in their glory; don’t drag them out of their own habitat. It is just plain vandalism.—Yours, etc., R. DAVIS. September 1, 1971.
