Moto-cross
R. De Coster (Belgium) is the new world 500 c.c.
moto-cross champion. He clinched victory in the re-
cent Dutch Grand Prix when he out-scored his rivals in the two legs. Riding a works Suzuki, De Coster won the first leg but was content to finish
a close second behind A. Jonsson, of Sweden, in the second. He finished the world championship with 97
points, just four ahead of Jonsson, who rode a Ger-
man Maico. Third place went to another Maico rider A. Weil, of West Germany.
