; The West German Navy has stopped searching for mines in the North' Sea and the Baltic Sea, 26 years after the end of the Second World War. The Ministry of Defence announced in Bonn today that investigations by experts showed the batteries of the mines to be too old and too weak to detonate the mines.—Bonn, August 31.
