“THAT IN PURSUANCE and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1954, and the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956, and all amendments thereto and all other Acts in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves to proceed to raise in New Zealand, six loans to be known as the Pensioners’ Cottages (Andrews Crescent) Loan No. 2, 1971 $17,300. (Beachville Road) Loan No. 2 , 1971—54700. (Ferry Road) Loan No. 2. 1971—54400. (Springfield Road) Loan No. 2, 1971 $2OOO. (Arran Crescent) Loan No. 2, 1971—55300. (Dyers Road) Loan No. 2, 1971—56500, for the purpose of completing the purposes for which the following loans were sanctioned—The Pensioners’ Cottages (Andrews Crescent) Loan 1970—>5105,700, (Beachville Road) Loan 1970—546,300, (Ferry Road) Loan 1970—567,600, (Springfield Road) Loan 1970—558,000, (Arran Crescent) Loan 1970 $36,700, (Dyers Road) Loan 1970 $50,500. subject to the following determinations: (1) The term for which the said loans or any parts thereof may be borrowed shall be 30 years; (2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loans or any parts thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding 3.5 per cent per annum; (3) The said loans or any parts thereof, together . t - s- with interest thereon shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or halfyearly instalments extending over the term as determined in Clause (1) hereof; (4) The payment of all such instalments shall be made in New Zealand, and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan money; (5) The security for the repayment of the said loans shall be Special Rates of $0.00000525, $0.00000145, $0.00000135, $0.00000061, $0.0000016, $0.00000196 in the dollar respectively, on the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch.” M.
